Been to several Irish style pubs and tried their food. Tried Shepard pie and Irish curry chicken. Shepard pie one of the best I have ever had. Food is quality but the pub is just another country bar. Go for the food and ignore the ambiance. Going back to try other menu options. You won't be disappointed by the chef.

Went here last summer and hated it. It was a dark restaurant and the food was awful. It took forever to come out as well. Before I was gluten free I was here and had the raviolis. The sauce tasted fake and the raviolis tasted like rubber. They didn't even look appetizing. Everyone else said it was poor quality food at rip of prices. As for a pub, they have a pool table and a bar so it may be good for a guys night out.

Started the evening with angry orchard cider on tap and my hubby had harp ale which was also on tap. Yummy! Salad was a simple iceberg lettuce salad with tomato, onion, tomato and broccoli and it was nice and crisp. Not fancy but good. I had the bangers and mash for dinner and my hubby had the shepherds pie. Both excellent Irish dishes. I saw the poor ratings and I have to say that Irish food is generally not gourmet. I thought it was good comfort food and appropriately priced for the quality. I was very happy with my bangers and mash. It wasn't as good as a place in Wyoming that holds my personal record for the best but in all honesty the Wyoming restaurant was not traditional. It was foodiefied. The mashers were good and not powdered. The sausage was excellent and perfectly cooked. My hubby felt that his shepherds pie was similar. Not as good as our Refined version with lots of herbs and bass ale gravy but very good and excellent comfort food prices appropriate to the quality. Not a gourmet place to eat thought they have several gourmet dishes on the menu. I liked it. Wrapped up he evening with the Irish bash. It was a cute non-traditional desert which was a cheesecake with swirls of Bailey's Irish cream and chocolate. It was pretty darned good I must say!! In all the place was good. The decor was funny and an eclectic mix of mountain art and Irish advertising. Don't go here for a fancy meal but if you want comfort food and pretty good service with good prices, this is your place. I loved it. It was perfect after a day spent in the outdoors eating granola and protein bars.

Food was pretty good. Service was not the friendliest. Decor didn't bother me as much as a lot of the other reviews.

We were there for New Years Eve dinner (also for our anniversary which is the same day). As new residents in the area, we were hoping to find a steak house with good food near our home. This place is a bit of a hit and miss. I ordered the Steak And Shrimp combo which had a NY Strip steak and 3 jumbo shrimp. My husband ordered the Porterhouse steak which was supposed to be a 16 oz steak. His cost $39, mine cost $29. Both steaks were ordered med-rare. Mine was quite good, steak was about 3/4" thick, cooked to the proper doneness and I would have given my meal 4 stars, a bit pricey, but good. His steak was thin, badly over-cooked, and we both found it difficult to believe that it was a 16 oz steak. It was definitely not worth the price we paid for it. Desserts were nothing special, fairly tasty, but nothing better than we could get from any other lower priced restaurant. So our opinion is: Ehhh. They have decent pub food (we've eaten it before), but their "fancy" restaurant food isn't worth the price you have to pay for it.

Not one of our favorites. Separate bar room where they allow smoking so that ruins it for non-smokers. We tried the restaurant and it wasn't much of anything to write home about. Out dated decor, average food. Not many places around on 739 so it could have potential if they did a make-over.

Disaster. Came w a party of 10 for Sunday brunch. Took an hour and a half to get out food. And it was not at all "Irish". Pork tenderloin is not Irish bacon.

Ordered the chicken Marsala, mushrooms and BBQ skewers. It was not too bad and not too good. I guess when there's not a lotta choices u have to make do with what's nearby. One thing tho, the place has an indoor smoking bar for all the cigarette lovers. Haven't seen that in a long time.

Food not very good at all. Crab cake was just visiting, and the tiny piece you got was not flavorful, and it was cold. Steak was tough as nails. Wife got a veal dish that was served cold. Onion soup was okay. They should just shut down the dining area and keep it as a bar. If you want a good dinner, travel the twenty minutes to two rivers grille in Matamoras. It's worth the drive.

The first time I dined here with my family was before the switching of hands, under the name of Silver Pines. Not much has changed. In fact I believe I had a more pleasent time before this place became what is known now as "Failte" the Gealic word for "Welcome!" Granted the place is essentially a bar, so if youre expecting a 5 star meal you'll be sorely disappointed. As we were. The place is more of a brothel, from what I gathered, due to the unsavory waitstaff that REEKED of cigarettes everytime they checked on our table and seemed to have more important matters in the bar, to carry about. The head waiter reminded me of a memeber of the Adams Family, and our waitress was very cold and unpersonable. Things were being dropped, in the distance; The food was overcooked and sat out for a little too long in the hot greasy kitchen lamps. They told us a local pig was fed the left dinner scraps, which I found revolting. All the dessert is frozen. Yuck yuck yuck! I highly doubt that anything they serve is local or organically sound. If you are however, traveling trough Dingman's Ferry PA, and must stop for a decent meal and drink, I suggest rather, going to Ray and Charles instead.. you'll have a better time. The people are much, much nicer and you can actually watch your meals being prepared! I do not trust Failte's service at all. Like I said they had more important matters to attend to during service hours, like bar fights and personal business in the smoke saturated bar. Just a heads up, foodies!

We recently moved to the area and we've been trying different places to find what we like. We had the artichoke and spinach dip which was not like other typical restaurants where the dip is in a small shallow bowl and not enough for the chips. There was PLENTY of dip and it was good. I had the lobster ravioli. I was a bit nervous about the "black squid ink and egg noodles" but it was just for color on the noodles. Which actually made it look really cool, black striped ravioli. There were chunks of lobster in the sauce too. So good. The french onion soup (I'm normally not a big fan) was good. My husband is a big fan of rueben sandwiches but also very picky about them. He LOVED it! I tried a bite and I'd split it with him for a lunch next time. (It's big). Our waitress was very helpful and patient. We will definitely be going back again.

Years ago this restaurant would have easily been 4 or 5 stars but now a days it's just lacking, decor is old and dated, the restaurant is dusty and needs a good cleaning, the food is still good that's why it gets two stars however the portions have been reduced drastically and the service is the worst, we waited almost two hours for sandwiches and burgers in an empty depressing dining room.... I will only order take out from them for now on... I also would not recommend sitting in the bar for food it's loud smokey and uncomfortable, however you will get better service since the bar appears the be what's keeping the restaurant alive...

Oh man oh man oh man what do I say about this bar??? I'm here more times than I'm not, it's hands down the best place to hang out with friends in the dingmans area, and I'll tell you why: 1. They stay open. Open til two. Most of the time. Obviously it depends on the crowd, but they stay open when others shut down. 2. They allow smoking in the bar. WHOAAA!!! How cool is that? 3. They are large. The bar is large, there is another room with a bar that they open on days they have DJ's or events, there is an outdoor patio, and there is a seperate room with a pool table. With so many accommodations, you will never get bored, and will always have someplace to slip off to if conversation with the drunk fellow at the bar turns sour. 4. Once a month or so, they have a mechanical bull. Don't knock it til you've tried it... 5. The staff is awesome and friendly. And the owner is a great guy. And the crowd is diverse, and always very welcoming. There's always someone to talk to, and that's great, because I get chatty when I drink... 6. They have good food! Go to Failte (pronounced "fall-ches"). It's a lovely neighborhood bar!

This was a pretty cool place for a quiet town. The food was great - I had a BLT that was huge (and needless to say, I couldn't finish it but that's just me) but very tasty. I would tell them to go easy on the mayo next time. I think the portions in general are just very large because a friend ordered a chicken parm sandwich and it was comically large. It looked like she barely touched it when she was done! I came in on a Monday night and it was very quiet people wise, with the exception of music playing and a baseball game on TV (sadly, not the Yankees). Next time I'm in town, I will definitely come back.

The staff was good, and the atmosphere was decent. The food seemed to be cooked from frozen and reheated, or fried....Deffinetly not chef prepaired...!!!!!!! Maybe me being fron NY, I expected NY quality....sorry guys, I'm eating elsewhere.
